Elizabeth Barnes is a passionate writer whose love for storytelling has been cultivated over many years, flowing beautifully through both fiction and Christian inspirational works. With a heart rooted in faith, she has served in different roles throughout her life including having served as a Bible study teacher, life coach and recording artist. Each role reflecting her deep desire to encourage, uplift, and inspire others.

After enduring much of life’s difficulties including the loss of her father when she was eighteen, and a stint of homelessness, she has had the great pleasure of experiencing God’s supernatural provision and new beginnings.  This blog is born from the Secret Place, a sacred space in her heart—and a desire to create an oasis for those navigating life’s ups and downs, twists and turns. It is especially for those who may feel weary, even in the midst of doing good. Through her words, she seeks to pour encouragement, strength, and hope into every reader, offering a gentle reminder that there is hope and that they are not alone.

When she’s not writing, reading, teaching or leading worship, she cherishes time spent with her husband and extended family, along with expressing a true love for language learning, on occasion speaking some Portuguese and ASL. She also enjoys traveling and experiencing the richness of life’s offerings.
