He Is With You

John 16:33 New International Version

I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.

Mathew 28:19-20 English Standard Version

Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.

God isn’t gifting you with a perfect situation. He has gifted you with HIM. His presence within you and around you enabling you to get through the good as well as the turbulent seasons of your life.

His goodness and presence is always near to you, His child. However, we are the ones who choose whether or not we walk in what he’s given to us. Will it be in fear or faith? It’s important for you to know that what you dwell on creates the atmosphere of your mind and it spills over into your circumstances. This is why we are supposed to be renewing our minds daily by the Word of God - So that we march to the beat of His drum and not the way of the world. This world follows the exact opposite structure of how He calls us to live. And living in the way He has called us to will be harder if we are not obeying what He has given us to live a life of victory in Christ.

Sometimes our weariness is due to going about our minds and our circumstances in the way the world goes about theirs; always depending on what we see or feel to dictate our perspective. Beloved, allow your perspective be shaped by the Word of God. We need the Word of God. We need it every day. We need it multiple times a day. Think about how often you eat physical food and then think about Jesus's words saying that man does not live by bread alone but on every word that comes out of the mouth of God. We need His word deep down within us, training us, teaching us, discipling us. Beloved, take hold of your mind. What you fix your eyes on, what you meditate on, governs the way you perceive and interpret what is happening in your life.

Living your life from the lens of God's Word will give you a strength and a peace that is not affected by what is happening around you. It is a discipline to fix your gaze on Him despite what your emotions tell you. It is good to feel and to be aware of what you are facing. I am not speaking of a numbing or an ignorance of your situation, but a decision to not be consumed by it and to hold on with all your might to the presence and Word of God. Life will not always feel good. Sometimes it gets harder for the ones who love God because you are a threat to the enemy. You are a walking beam of light in a world that loves its darkness.

The enemy attacks in ways to confuse you and keep you out of the battle because He knows how unstoppable a child of God is... You’ve got God living inside of you. So he tries to shape the way you view what you are going through so that you will not accept the strength and joy (yes, JOY) and peace the Lord has made available to you. Renew your mind by the Word of God so that you can be built up in His strength and live as the victor in Christ that you are. You may not feel like a victor, but you are.

In your weariness, He is stronger.
